Al Shaqab Racing's Phoenix Stakes winner Ebro River is to stand at Haras de la Haie Neuve in Brittany, with his fee to be announced in the coming days.

Bred by Tally-Ho Stud and a first Group 1 winner for his sire Galileo Gold, Ebro River was bought by Al Shaqab and Charlie Gordon Watson Bloodstock for 75,000gns at Tattersalls Book 2.

He would win four times in the hands of Hugo Palmer, including the Listed National Stakes and the Queensferry at Chester this year and was also third to Native Trail in the National Stakes.

Tangi Saliou of the stud told Jour de Galop in France: "We are honoured for the trust granted to us by Al Shaqab Racing within the framework of the partnership around Ebro River. The horse has arrived in France, he really has the profile to succeed at Haras de la Haie Neuve."
