Goffs UK December HIT Sale to offer Straightline Bloodstock 17-strong dispersal
Smart dual-purpose runner Sextant is among the team on offer
A 17-lot dispersal for owner Richard Gilbert, whose horses run under the ownership of Straightline Bloodstock, will be offered at the Goffs UK December HIT Sale at Doncaster next month.
The dispersal will offer all lots without reserve and features proven smart performers, younger unexposed horses and unraced stock.
Among the highlights are Sextant, a six-time winning Sea The Stars gelding who won the Listed Stand Cup Stakes; Kilbarry Leader, a five-year-old daughter of Leading Light who won her point debut at Dromahane in October last year and was then purchased for £75,000 at the Goffs UK November P2P Sale; Alright Sunshine, rated 99 on the Flat and the winner of eight races; and Prince Kayf, a seven-year-old son of Kayf Tara and the winner of two hurdle races.
Gilbert said: “We've had a great time racing and we love our horses but sadly we feel it is time to refocus our attention. The last 18 months have been very challenging and we feel we need to concentrate more on the business, so we will be offering all our horses in an unreserved dispersal.
“There are some lovely horses on offer; horses like Sextant, Alright Sunshine and Platinum Card have given us a lot of fun and have won 18 races between them.
"We have a strong selection of unraced horses and Kilbarry Leader is one that looks very promising, she has shown a lot at home, so the dispersal presents some exciting and genuine opportunities for others to race and enjoy.”
Goffs UK managing director Tim Kent added: "The addition of the Straightline Bloodstock dispersal is a great boost for our Doncaster December Sale and we look forward to offering the draft on behalf of Richard.
"As we have seen time and again with dispersals, they offer genuine opportunities for buyers and the draft has a nice balance of proven and promising horses.”
Entries for the Goffs UK December HIT Sale at Doncaster will close on Friday at midday.
