Coolmore's European champion two-year-old U S Navy Flag is the latest of this year's batch of first season sires to have his debut runner.

The champion three-year-old sprinter is the sire of Kaasib who makes his debut for Al Mohamediya Racing at Windsor on Monday in the British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes (2.15).

Bred by the Clarke family at their Wardstown Stud in County Meath, Kaasib has the pedigree to excel over sprint trips. His dam Cherished is a Kodiac half-sister to Duke Of York Stakes winner and Haydock Sprint Cup third Magical Memory, who was also bred by the Clarkes.

Kaasib was sold for €40,000 by Wardstown Stud to Eddie O'Leary's Lynn Lodge Stud at the 2020 Goffs November Foal Sale. Trainer Clive Cox purchased him from Lynn Lodge for £80,000 at the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale last August.

His sire was a dual Group 1 winner at two for Aidan O'Brien, with victories in the Dewhurst and Middle Park Stakes. He followed that up with July Cup success at three and he was also second in the Irish 2,000 Guineas.

A son of War Front, U S Navy Flag is a full-brother to triple Group 1 winning miler Roly Poly and they are out of Misty For Me whose four Group 1 triumphs included the Prix Marcel Boussac and the Pretty Polly Stakes. Misty For Me is a Galileo full-sister to another Prix Marcel Boussac winner in Ballydoyle.

Their dam Butterfly Cove is an unraced Storm Cat half-sister to the Prix Morny and Phoenix Stakes winner Fasliyev.

U S Navy Flag retired to Coolmore for the 2019 season where he stood for €25,000. His first crop contains 70 registered two-year-olds including half-sisters to 2,000 Guineas and St James's Palace Stakes winner Poetic Flare and Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks winner Going Global. They were the two most expensive yearlings from his first crop, fetching €220,000 and €290,000 respectively at the Goffs Orby Sale.
