Family update for Miss Fisher as Henderson takes the wraps off eyecatcher
The daughter of Libertarian was an €18,000 purchase from Goffs Land Rover
Family honour was upheld on Friday when Mister Fisher proved best in the rescheduled Peterborough Chase, and the classy chaser's half-sister is the next in line to head onto the track on Monday.
Miss Fisher, a four-year-old daughter of Dante winner and Derby second Libertarian, is out of That's Amazing, an unraced daughter of Marignan and Hot Curry, a half-sister to Graded-placed and five-time winning chaser Fix The Rib.
That's Amazing's claim to fame is through the exploits of her Grade 2-winning son Mister Fisher. The son of Jeremy struck in the Rossington Main Novices' Hurdle before adding the Lightning Novices' Chase at Doncaster last term to his burgeoning CV for trainer Nicky Henderson. He then added the Peterborough Chase to his record, taking his earnings to over £100,000.
The six-year-old, who was bred by Joe Kenny and sold for €65,000 at Goffs Land Rover Sale in 2017, was also fourth behind Samcro in the Marsh Novices' Chase at the festival in March and plugged on to beat Kalashnikov at Prestbury Park on Friday.
The pair's half-brother, Jack Sharp, made a promising start to his career when third in a two-mile novice hurdle at Doncaster on Saturday.
The son of Scorpion joined Alastair Ralph's yard having been earlier registered with Henderson, who also trains Miss Fisher for Mister Fisher's owners Jean and James Potter. She was bought by Highflyer Bloodstock for €18,000 at last year's Goffs Land Rover Sale.
Her nine rivals in the bumper at Plumpton include the Chris Gordon-trained Grangeclare Knight, a sister to the stable's three-time winner Baddesley Knight, winning pointer Victorias Peak - making her stable debut for Fergal O'Brien - and Anthony Honeyball's Precious, a sister to the Listed-placed Midnight Callisto.
