With the first of European champion Almanzor’s yearlings heading to auction, these were already going to be a significant few months for the link between Haras d’Etreham and Cambridge Stud.

It appears that the newly-forged Franco-Kiwi alliance is on track for many years together as their decision to purchase bright young sprinter Hello Youmzain proved a judicious one as he landed last month’s Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The studs now have a more than viable sprinting stallion on their books, with Kevin Ryan’s four-year-old transferred after he took last season’s Haydock Sprint Cup. He will be seeking to become a triple Group 1 winner in this weekend’s Darley July Cup.
