The catalogue for the Goffs December National Hunt Sale is now available online and features 815 lots, comprising 740 foals and 51 breeding stock along with a small selection of yearlings and store horses.

A surge in demand for foal placings this year has seen the sale extended to four days, taking place from December 5-8, with the categories catalogued as follows:

Monday 5th Older horses, yearlings, foals

Tuesday 6th Foals

Wednesday 7th Foals

Thursday 8th Foals, mares

Among the many black-type foal pedigrees on offer are siblings to Tornado Flyer, One For Arthur, Jason The Militant, Mister Fisher, Castlegrace Paddy, Lisnagar Oscar, Labaik, Brandy Love, Battleoverdoyen, Polished Steel, Labaik, Fayonagh, Bellshill, The Model Kingdom and Gaelic Warrior.

The first foal out of Grade 1 winner Shattered Love, by Walk In The Park, is a very exciting prospect, while other notable dams with foals in the sale include Voler La Vedette, a sister to Hurricane Fly, Burn And Turn, Dinaria Des Obeaux, Glens Melody and Glens Harmony.

The most sought-after National Hunt stallions are well represented in a sire profile that includes 37 foals by Walk In The Park, 41 by Crystal Ocean and 37 by Blue Bresil, while the likes of Doctor Dino, Kapgarde, Nathaniel, No Risk At All, Saint Des Saints and Policy Maker also feature.

Cheltenham Festival winner Concertista, Grade 2 John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle winner Royal Kahala, who is in foal to Crystal Ocean, and Grade 2 winner Grangee head up an outstanding selection of National Hunt mares.

This also includes Avanguardia, dam of Grade 1 Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Labaik, and Punchestown festival-winning chaser Rapid Response.

Commenting on the publication of the December National Hunt Sale catalogue, Goffs group chief executive Henry Beeby said: “Buyers are in for a real treat this December as we have compiled an unmissable collection of National Hunt stock headed by our strongest ever line-up of foals, along with some of the most exciting National Hunt mares on offer anywhere this year.

"We’re all set for a fitting finale to another vibrant year of National Hunt sales at Goffs and are very grateful to our vendors, who increasingly choose to send their best foals and mares to Goffs, which has led to another increase in catalogue size.

"It is a wonderful endorsement of the Goffs service and of the faith in our National Hunt team led by Gerry Hogan, Neil Walsh, Peter Molony and Kevin Ross.”
