Yarmouth – or Newmarket-on-Sea, to give the track its alternative name – plays host to a Classic winner’s half-brother on Tuesday as Godolphin’s Lost Gold is set to make his debut.

The three-year-old homebred is the fourth live foal out of Windsor County, an unraced daughter of Elusive Quality and the sister to Breeders’ Cup Classic hero Raven’s Pass.

Lost Gold is a half-brother to Castle Lady, who carried Godolphin’s famous blue silks to victory in the 2019 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches at Longchamp. He is by Dark Angel, while Castle Lady is a daughter of Shamardal.

The Saeed bin Suroor-trained Lost Gold, who doesn’t hold any fancy entries, will be partnered by Oisin Murphy in the Quinnbet Best Odds Guaranteed Maiden (2.40) over a mile, in which he is set to face half a dozen rivals, most of whom have at least one run under their belt.

Goldolphin are also represented by the John and Thady Gosden-trained Ironside, a 500,000gns Tattersalls October Book 1 yearling. He had already been gelded before debuting in the Wood Ditton Stakes last week, when he trailed home a long last of the 11 runners.

The all-weather evening card at Lingfield also boasts a blue-blooded debutant, in this case Frankellina’s brother Mr Curiosity.

The already-gelded four-year-old will wear the silks of owner-breeder Anthony Oppenheimer in the Sky Sports Racing HD Virgin 535 Novice Stakes (7.25) over a mile and a half, with Kieran Shoemark in the saddle for trainer Charlie Fellowes.

Mr Curiosity is by Frankel and out of Shamardal’s daughter Obsession. His sister Frankellina won a novice stakes at Yarmouth and was beaten a neck when dead-heating for second in the Group 3 Musidora Stakes of 2019.
