Charlie Appleby will saddle an unraced Dubawi half-brother to Group 3 Autumn Stakes scorer Military March in the mile and a half novice contest at Kempton on Saturday.

Owned and bred by Godolphin - who are also responsible for two others in the eight-strong line-up - First Order is the seventh foal out of the Danehill mare Punctilious, winner of the Yorkshire Oaks and Ribblesdale Stakes for Saeed bin Suroor.

Punctilious, who also finished placed behind the brilliant Ouija Board in the Epsom and Irish Oaks, has produced five winners from as many offspring to have made the track. The Bin Suroor-trained Military March is arguably her most notable progeny, winning both starts at two including the Autumn Stakes and finishing fourth to Kameko in last year's 2,000 Guineas.

The colt missed the rest of the season due to injury but is expected to return this season. Punctilious' other black-type runner is the fellow New Approach-sired Clongowes, third to Order Of St George in the 2018 Vintage Crop Stakes and a dual winner for Jim Bolger.

Punctilious is herself a half-sister to the multiple Group 3 scorer Risk Seeker and the Listed-winning Redwood Falls.

Among First Order's seven rivals are the John Gosden-trained pair of Stiletto, a Frankel colt who was second on his penultimate start, and Law Of The Sea, a Golden Horn half-brother to Listed winner Le Don De Vie.
