The jumps season proper might be well under way but there are a number of well-related debutants who could provide Flat fans with some winter cheer at Newcastle and Kempton on Friday.

Among the runners for the mile and a quarter maiden at Newcastle (1.25) is Godolphin homebred Oriental World, a Galileo half-brother to dual Dubai World Cup winner and multi millionaire earner Thunder Snow among five individual black-type winners.

The dam, Eastern Joy, is a once-raced Dubai Destination half-sister to Prix de Diane heroine West Wind and has also produced May Hill Stakes scorer and Fillies' Mile third Ihtimal, Oh So Sharp Stakes scorer First Victory, and the Listed-winning pair of Always Smile and Winter Lightning.

Her latest offspring to hit the track is set to face nine rivals, including Voodoo Queen, a daughter of Frankel and Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Cursory Glance who was a promising third on her debut at Nottingham, and Medyaf, a Sea The Moon full-brother to German Group 2 scorer and Group 1 runner-up Quest The Moon.

The seven-furlong novice event later on in the card (3.10) will see the debut of Master Of Colours. The Scuderia Archi Romani homebred colt is a Muhaarar half-brother to this season's Nassau Stakes heroine and Lockinge Stakes runner-up Lady Bowthorpe, as well as Group 2-winning sprinter Speak In Colours and the Listed-placed Lady In Grey.

The opening division of the mile novice (5.30) at Kempton will see Sir Michael Stoute take the wraps off Chimed. Juddmonte's son of Frankel is the fifth foal out of the Zamindar mare Timepiece, the winner of the Falmouth Stakes and Sandringham Handicap for Sir Henry Cecil.

Timepiece, a half-sister to Criterium de Saint-Cloud winner Passage Of Time - the dam of Time Test - and King Edward VII Stakes victor Father Time, is responsible for two winners in Thaler and Tacitly.

Chimed is due to face 13 rivals including Al Nafir, Godolphin's full-brother to last year's world champion Ghaiyyath who was a promising second on his debut, First Officer, a Galileo full-brother to Group winner Sizzling, and Malcolm, Bjorn Nielsen's Teofilo colt out of Wokingham winner Interception, whose year older Iffraaj half-sister My Mirage debuts in three-year-old and over novice contest (5.00).

The following novice contest (6.00) will see Appleby take the wraps off Imperial Crown, the 12th foal out of the brilliant Attraction and a full-brother to York Stakes scorer and Juddmonte International third Elarqam.

A 1,100,000gns purchase from Tattersalls Book 1, the colt is also a half-brother to Sapphire Stakes winner Fountain Of Youth and this season's stakes winner Maydanny.
