The BBAG Sale will go online

The BBAG Spring Sale will be held online as a result of the ongoing coronavirus restrictions, the sales company announced in an online newsletter.

The sale, which would normally be held in Iffezheim, Germany, takes place on June 4, with the entry deadline being extended to May 7.

Videos and photographs will be available as well as veterinary records through the online catalogue. The catalogue will be published on May 14.

The bidding process will begin on Monday, May 31 and end on Friday, June 4.

The company said: "Due to the current restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we cannot hold our Spring Sale as usual. For this reason, the sale is being held online for the first time, the horses do not have to travel to Iffezheim and are available for inspection at their home locations.

"This online auction format has proven itself in the last few months and, in the current circumstances, this auction format is of great benefit to everyone involved."
