Arqana Online to offer horses in training from Magalen Bryant's dispersal
The auction takes place on March 29 from 2.30pm local time
Arqana Online will offer a number of horses in training as part of a dispersal from the late Magalen Bryant, an owner, breeder and leading figure in the National Hunt world whose colours were carried to victory at the highest level.
The auction will take place on Tuesday, March 29 from 2.30pm local time and will end at 4.30 pm for lot 1, followed by a four-minute delay (excluding extra time) for each following horse.
Among the 28 horses offered are Iamastar (12), a four-year-old gelding by Balko out of Listed Auteuil winner Victoria's Star, who was placed in the Grade 2 Prix Congress and Listed Prix Vatelys last year; In Love (13), a Great Pretender four-year-old who won on debut in the Prix Alfred Torrance at Pau this year; and Hetre Rouge (19), a son of six-time winning son of Saddex.
Also included are ten unraced lots such as four-year-old Imaginary Dragon (9) and three-year-old Just A Dragoness (7), who are both by Kapgarde and from the family of Blue Dragon and Fabulous Dragoness.
Freddy Powell, Arqana's executive director, said: "For administrative reasons, the late Mrs Bryant's estate must be auctioned off, however, some of her family members are determined to keep her silks on French racecourses once the legal issues are resolved. Please do not hesitate to contact the Arqana team, Richard Powell or the trainers for further information.”
