The first foal out of Falmouth, Matron and Sun Chariot heroine Alice Springs is set for her debut in the opener at Navan on Sunday.

Prettiest was bred by Coolmore affiliate Orpendale, Chelston & Wynatt and as a daughter of Dubawi to boot she looks a most exciting newcomer in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden (1.15).

The juvenile is trained by Aidan O’Brien for the Coolmore partners and if she turns out to be anything like her dam, or sire, connections will be in for a treat.

Galileo’s daughter Alice Springs won five of her 17 starts all told, and as well as her three Group 1 strikes she landed the £300,000 Tattersalls Millions 2yo Fillies’ Trophy for good measure. She was also third in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket. She was out of the Danehill Dancer mare Aleagueoftheirown.

Prettiest is due to face eight rivals on her debut, several also having their first runs, though the one to beat could be Lope De Vega’s daughter Lopes Gold, who was a close second on her first start at Naas earlier this month.

Half an hour later Ballydoyle introduce a two-year-old colt, Admiraloftheblue. By No Nay Never, he is out of Royal Applause’s unraced daughter Madam Baroque, a half-sister to Group 2 winner Johann Zoffany.

He is set to face half a dozen rivals in the Lynn Lodge Stud Irish EBF Maiden (1.45), which also looks a race to keep tabs on.

Dermot Weld gives Profitable’s son Laakhof his first run in the race. He was a 160,000gns buy by Shadwell at last year’s Tattersalls October Book 2 yearling sale.

Also at Navan, which provides the only Flat racing in Ireland and Britain on Sunday, the Joseph O’Brien team introduces three-year-old debutant Point Nepean, a son of Camelot out of Galileo’s daughter Sea Goddess.

The colt was picked up for 65,000gns at the Tattersalls October Book 2 yearling sale of 2019 and sports the colours of the Lloyd Williams syndicate. His dam is a half-sister to Group 1 Windsor Park Plate winner Pure Champion, who raced as Steinbeck in Ireland.

He is one of ten declarations for the Navan Racecourse Maiden (2.55), in which Galileo’s son Malawi, runner-up on his debut at Dundalk, looks the one to beat.
