Signora Cabello bought into by Phoenix Thoroughbreds

Signora Cabello's exploits for John Quinn and Zen Racing throughout this season have not gone unnoticed after Phoenix Thoroughbreds moved to secure a 75 per cent share in the juvenile filly.

Zen Racing have retained the remaining equity in the filly.

The daughter of Camacho, who made her debut in April, got off the mark at Bath last month before following up that victory with a swift success in the Listed Marygate Fillies' Stakes at York that has left her poised for a tilt at the Queen Mary Stakes next Wednesday.

Quinn has previous form at striking at the Royal meeting with a juvenile having trained The Wow Signal to win the Group 2 Coventry Stakes in impressive fashion back in 2014.

The sale of a majority stake in Signora Cabello represents a shrewd piece of business by Zen Racing as the juvenile was originally sourced from last year's Book 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 20,000gns by Richard Knight and Sean Quinn.

Bred by Diomed Bloodstock, Signora Cabello is out of the Group 3-placed Night Shift mare Journalist and is a half-sister to the Group 3 third La Presse and the Listed-placed pair Emirates Girl and Plagiarism. Further back on the page is 1,000 Guineas heroine Las Meninas.

Her sire hasn't been far from the headlines in recent weeks as Camacho supplied a first Classic winner in the shape of Poule d'Essai des Pouliches heroine Teppal.
