Knight To Behold, a Group 2-winning son of Sea The Stars, will stand alongside proven National Hunt sire Brave Mansonnien at Haras de Buzancy for the 2022 breeding season.

The Abergwaun Farms-bred six-year-old won on his second start at two in a Newmarket novice before opening his account with an easy success over Kew Gardens in the Lingfield Derby Trial the following spring.

After running in the English and Irish Derbys behind Masar and Latrobe, Knight To Behold went on to win the Prix Guillaume d'Ornano at Deauville, before finishing his season at Longchamp in the Prix Dollar.

At four, the colt made his seasonal debut when a fine second to Crystal Ocean in the Gordon Richards Stakes, before a seventh in the Prix d'Ispahan. His last start for the Harry Dunlop yard came when third to Elarqam in the York Stakes.

Knight To Behold will stand alongside Brave Mansonnien

Knight To Behold is the ninth foal out of Angel Of The Gwaun, an unraced full-sister to Derby third Let The Lion Roar and the useful King In Waiting, as well as a half-sibling to St Leger hero and Doncaster Cup scorer Millenary and Group 3 winner Head In The Clouds.

He is a half-sibling to Japanese Grade 3 winner Cosmo Meadow, Blue Wind Stakes scorer Beauty O' Gwaun and Missy O' Gwaun, the dam of this season's Celebration Stakes winner Fourhometwo.

Knight To Behold will stand alongside Brave Mansonnien, a winning hurdling son of Mansonnien but perhaps best known for the exploits of his son, Bravemansgame, who won last season's Grade 1 Challow Hurdle and made a flawless start to his chasing career at Newton Abbot this month.

A fee will be announced at a later date.
