Kingman the 3-1 favourite to field most winners among the freshmen

RaceBets unveil their prices as the Flat season gets under way

Kingman: unbeaten in two starts as a juvenile himself
1 of 1

RaceBets have chalked up prices for this year's leading first-season sire title, making brilliant miler Kingman the 3-1 favourite to supply the most winners in Britain and Ireland during the Flat season – from now until November 10.

Kingman looks a worthy favourite on form as he was a high-class juvenile himself, unbeaten in two starts including in the Solario Stakes that season, and he produced a healthy-sized debut crop of 113 foals conceived at a fee of £55,000.

He is also a son of Invincible Spirit, who broke the world record for number of individual first-season two-year-old winners in 2006.

No Nay Never, one of the talking horses of the 2017 yearling sales, is RaceBets' second favourite at 4-1.

A sharp two-year-old himself – successful in the Norfolk Stakes and Prix Morny – he is by Scat Daddy, an exceptional source of precocity, and has a first crop that comprises 86 foals.

The other freshmen at single-figure odds in RaceBets' market are Alhebayeb and War Command each at 7-1 and Slade Power at 8s.

Alhebayeb, a July Stakes winner by two-year-old sire par excellence Dark Angel, had a bumper first crop of 130, while War Command, a Coventry and Dewhurst Stakes winner by another excellent juvenile influence in War Front, has 108 to go to into battle with.

Dual Group 1-winning sprinter Slade Power, by Dutch Art, has 100 foals in his first crop.

Available at bigger prices are such illustrious names as Australia (10s), Olympic Glory (12s) and Charm Spirit (14s).

Previous RaceBets markets for leading first-season sire by number of scorers have offered juicy odds for the eventual winner. Sir Prancealot was a 14-1 shot before the start of the 2016 Flat season, while Society Rock was introduced at 7s last year.
