Jet Setting's sister to make her debut at Gowran Park
Its All For Luck is the third foal out of the Johannesburg mare Mean Lae
Jet Setting was one of the success stories of 2016 having been bought as a maiden for 12,000gns before going on to land the Irish 1,000 Guineas, and on Monday the tale of her family could be set for its latest twist, as her sister, Its All For Luck, will make her debut at Gowran Park.
A three-year-old daughter of Fast Company, she is the third foal out of the winning Johannesburg mare Mean Lae and was bred by Brian Duffy. Mean Lae came into Duffy's possession when he bought her privately, with the Fast Company filly in-utero, from Peter Kelly.
Prior to joining Robbie McNamara, Its All For Luck was bought by her owner Carol Benson for just €10,000 at Part Two of the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale in 2015.
Mean Lae is out of the Listed-winning Pivotal mare Plume Rouge.
The filly will face 13 rivals in the 7f contest at 5.40pm, and will be hoping to get off the mark a shade sooner than her illustrious sister did, with Jet Setting having taken six attempts to shed her maiden tag.
Leicester plays host to Lockinge winner's half-sister
Earlier on Monday, Cheveley Park Stud will introduce one of their homebreds in the shape of the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Verity in a mile maiden at Leicester.
She is a daughter of Redoute's Choice, who shuttled to the Aga Khan's Haras de Bonneval in 2013 and 2014. The Arrowfield Stud resident is a dominant sire in his native Australia, and has now established himself as a potent sire of sires through the likes of his record-breaking son Snitzel and Not A Single Doubt.
Verity is out of the winning and Listed-placed Exit To Nowhere mare Virtuous, who since retiring to stud has produced eight winners from eight runners. They include Lockinge Stakes hero Virtual, a son of Pivotal, and Coventry Stakes winner Iceman, a son of Polar Falcon.
Verity's further family includes EP Taylor Stake heroine Lahaleeb, Matron Stakes winner Echelon and dual Group 1 scorer Integral.
