Horses in Training Sale gets extra day
Decision reflects unprecedented number of entries
Tattersalls have extended their Autumn Horses in Training Sale to a fifth day on account of the sheer volume of entries for the auction, which begins on October 30.
There are expected to be more than 1,750 lots catalogued for the sale, which will begin at 9.30am on the first three days and 10am on the final two days. Friday, November 3, will also feature Book 4 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale with 50 horses set to go under the hammer.
Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: "The Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale is the largest of its type anywhere in the world and attracts a truly international cast of buyers each year.
"Last year's record-breaking sale and clearance rate of 92 per cent has resulted in an unprecedented number of entries which means we have to extend the sale to five days."
