Goffs UK Spring Sale Bumper prize-money doubled to £100,000 plus bonuses
Horses selling in Doncaster from Monday to Thursday will be eligible for Newbury
The two-day Goffs UK Spring Store Sale gets under way at Doncaster on Monday at 12 noon and all horses sold are eligible to be entered in the new £100,000 Spring Sale Bumper, which will also feature the new Bumper Bonus prizes scheme.
The 2023 Spring Sale Bumper will be held at Newbury’s jump season finale fixture on Saturday, March 25 (subject to confirmation of the 2023 fixtures list by the BHA). The prize-money of £100,000 has been doubled from £50,000 and in addition the bumper will offer a new incentive next year, the Bumper Bonus prizes.
Based on the recently launched Premier Prizes, which was awarded as part of the Premier Yearling Stakes at York last year, the Bumper Bonus will see Goffs UK extend their partnership with leading horse box manufacturer Theault, and award the bumper-winning trainer a free six-month lease of a two-stall horse box.
The Bumper Bonus will also award the vendor of the winning horse a bespoke wine package from leading wine merchant Charles Murphy Wines.
Entry dates for the 2023 £100,000 Goffs UK Spring Sale Bumper are as follows:
- £300 to enter on September 6, 2022
- £300 unless forfeit by January 10, 2023
- £250 unless forfeit by February 28, 2023
- £150 to confirm on March 20, 2023
