Dual Group 1 winner Fascinating Rock has had his first mare, the Ballylinch Stud-owned Lady Livius, tested in foal.

John O’Connor, managing director of Ballylinch Stud, said: “We are committing some very nice mares to Fascinating Rock in his first season at stud and Lady Livius is certainly one of them.

The daughter of Titus Livius won the Weatherbys Super Sprint winner as a juvenile and is the dam of two Group-winning two-year-old’s Brown Sugar and Burnt Sugar.

O'Connor added: "Maurice Regan and Newtown Anner Stud have already shown their support for him at the sales and breeders have been quick to pick up on this and send their mares to Fascinating Rock.”

The six-year-old son of Fastnet Rock won both the Champion Stakes at Ascot at four and the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh at five, with seven of his eight wins coming in stakes company.

Fascinating Rock is standing his first season at stud in Ballylinch for €10,000.
