First for Farhh as Fa Ul Sciur strikes in Italy
The colt broke his maiden at Capannelle
Farhh became the latest of this year's first-season sires to get off the mark when the two-year-old colt Fa Ul Sciur got off the mark at Capannelle in Rome on Tuesday.
Trained by Stefano Botti, the colt was having his first start over seven furlongs and got the better of Isole Canarie to win by a length.
Bred by Azienda Agricola Francesca SRL, Fa Ul Sciur is the fifth foal out of the Group 3-winning Dubai Destination mare Rosa Del Dubai. He is a half-brother to this year's Oaks d'Italia winner Folega as well as being a half-brother to Listed scorer Favulusa.
Dalham Hall Stud resident Farhh was trained by Saeed bin Suroor to win five races including the Lockinge and Champion Stakes as a five-year-old. His dam, the Lando mare Gonbarada, was purchased by Godolphin after she won the Deutschland Preis and the Preis Von Europa and hails from the family of Ascot Gold Cup hero Fame And Glory.
He currently stands at Darley's Newmarket operation at a fee of £8,000.
