Wadacre Stud's colt foal by The Gurkha out of Trip To Glory
Wadacre Stud is celebrating the arrival of the first foal by Classic hero The Gurkha - a bay colt born at 2am on Tuesday.
The newborn is out of the Listed-winning Where Or When mare Trip To Glory, whose first four foals are all winners.
Stud owner Jeanette Matthews-Griffiths said: “He's a cracking foal and we're over the moon. The mare has been booked in to be covered by Churchill.”
The Gurkha, by Galileo out of the Group 3-winning Danehill Dancer mare Chintz, was a wide-margin winner of the Poule d'Essai des Poulains and took the scalp of Galileo Gold to take the Sussex Stakes.
He is standing his second season at Coolmore at a fee of €25,000.
