Facts, figures and statistics. Leading trainers, most successful jockeys, Grade 1-winning owners, sires of the most winners. All the metrics used to measure Cheltenham glory. But what of breeders?

If there were an award for outstanding achievement in breeding at National Hunt racing's jamboree of World Cup, Olympics and Six Nations rolled into one, then there is a family in County Meath who would be inducted into the hall of fame.

Ken and Louise Parkhill, and their sons Peter and Nicky, have bred a Grade 1 winner at the festival in each of the last three seasons. An amazing feat in itself but, even more impressively, two of those three winners are related to the Champion Hurdle heroes and brothers Granville Again and Morley Street.
