The Irish Champions Festival's parade of stars reserved its warmest reception for a horse who wasn't running but had decorated previous editions of the jamboree.

Moyglare Stud and Coolmore's invincible champion Kyprios paraded in front of the crowds assembled at the Curragh on Sunday as the racing public who adored the courageous stayer revelled in the opportunity to bid farewell to an extraordinary horse.

The idea for the parade came from the Moyglare team, and Coolmore – where the seven-year-old son of Galileo has resided since his retirement from racing in late May – as they joined forces in getting their future stallion to the Curragh, the course where he made his unbelievable 2023 comeback from illness and injury at the Irish Champions' Festival.
