Fahy dying to know the result of O'Brien's Twitter poll

Three-year-old Presenting filly is the final foal out of Rare Gesture

Michael Fahy (far right): purchased Rare Gesture as an unbroken three-year-old

Michael Fahy, the breeder of the filly that Joseph O'Brien turned to social media to name, is looking forward to the big reveal of the three-year-old's moniker on Friday evening.

Fahy bred the Presenting filly out of the unraced Shalford mare Rare Gesture, who he purchased privately as an unbroken three-year-old. Under Fahy's care she has produced five winners from eight foals of racing age, including the Listed-winning pair Me And Ben and Duhallow Gesture as well as the Graded-placed Cogryhill.

The three-year-old Presenting filly is the final foal out of the half-sister to Wichita Lineman and Rhinestone Cowboy as unfortunately Rare Gesture died during foaling and the filly had to be raised by a foster mare.

Fahy said: "Joseph bought her as a foal and she's always been a strong, good-looking filly and I hope she could go on and be another black type performer for the family.

Of the novel idea of taking to social media for her name Fahy added: "It'll give the filly exposure and there'll be no doubt there'll be lots of attention on her which she makes her debut on the track.

"It's great for people in racing industry and also for the people on social media who might not be directly involved in the sport. It might see them take an interest in it and get involved in the game. It's a novel idea."

Having received plenty of suggestions since his original tweet on Wednesday, O'Brien drew up a shortlist of four possibilities – I'll Be Me, Galveston Girl, A Lady Like You and Seldom Is Precious. Three of the four names are songs by American musician Glen Campbell, who happens to have provided the inspiration for Rhinestone Cowboy and Wichita Lineman.

For now Fahy will keep his eyes peeled as and when the big reveal happens and said: "I'm not on Twitter unfortunately so I can't vote but I'm dying to know what her final name will be."
