Entries unveiled for second Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Yearling Sale

The catalogue for the second edition of the Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Yearling Sale has been published online, with the hard copy being posted out on Friday.

The one-day select auction takes place at 11.30am on Tuesday, September 11, and there are 163 lots entered.

All lots are eligible to run in the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes next year.

Yearlings purchased at this year's sale will also be eligible for the Tattersalls racehorse sponsorship programme for British-trained two, three and four-year-olds purchased at the Ascot yearling sale in 2018.

Tattersalls Ireland claim the catalogue contains 55 siblings to two-year-old winners, 41 out of two-year-old winning mares, 19 siblings to black-type horses and 17 yearlings out of black-type mares.

Some 70 different sires account for the lots in the catalogue including Acclamation, Bungle Inthejungle, Camacho, Dream Ahead, Dutch Art, Gregorian, Havana Gold, Holy Roman Emperor, Kyllachy, No Nay Never, Poet's Voice, Toronado and War Command.

First-season sires represented include Anjaal, Brazen Beau, Cable Bay, Cappella Sansevero, Due Diligence, Fountain of Youth, Fulbright, Free Eagle, G Force, Gutaifan, Hallowed Crown, Hot Streak, Intrinsic, Ivawood, Kingston Hill, Make Believe, Mustajeeb, Outstrip and Shooting To Win.

At last year's inaugural sale, 85 lots sold for turnover of £787,500, at an average of £9,265 and median of £7,000.
