Dean Elliott has joined the team at James Harron Bloodstock to head up a new venture for the operation.

Elliott, who is based in Victoria, has ten years of experience to his name having worked with organisations such as Lindsay Park Stud, Cornerstone Stud and William Hill.

James Harron said: "I've known Dean for several years as a respected member of the thoroughbred industry. His broad experience will be a great fit to launch and grow a newly created arm of JHB, which we look forward to announcing in the coming weeks.

"Victoria is an important area for our business, and having a base there with Dean will allow us to better service owners within this major racing jurisdiction."

Elliott added: "The JHB brand continues to rise to prominence on the back of an impressive list of recent and ongoing accomplishments. So when James bought his concept and plans to my attention, I was excited to be offered an opportunity to join his dynamic team.

"With the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling sale on the horizon, I look forward to commencing my role next week with pre-sale inspections in the Hunter Valley."
