Bengala was purchased for €350,000 as unraced two-year-old
Bengala emerged victorious by a short head in a closely fought finish to the three-year-old fillies' maiden at Leopardstown on Wednesday.
The daughter of Pivotal is the seventh foal of the Prix de Diane winner Bright Sky, and was sent to John Oxx after changing hands for €350,000 as an unraced two-year-old at the Wildenstein dispersal at Goffs last September.
Aurora Butterfly, a half-sister to the high-class miler Diamond Green, finished second while Longing, a Classic-entered daughter of Galileo who cost 1,000,000gns as a Tattersalls Book 1 yearling in 2015, was third.
Bright Sky also has a yearling colt by Australia.
