Dartmouth, Jack Hobbs, Mahsoob, and Peace Envoy are among the newest recruits to the stallion ranks for 2018 who will take part in the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association's National Hunt stallion showcase at Goffs UK in Doncaster on January 24.

A total of 17 stallions will be on show during the second day of the Goffs UK January Sale and includes Blue Bresil, the sire of recent Grade 1 hero Mick Jazz, Cannock Chase, Clovis Du Berlais, Dragon Dancer, Dunaden, Mahsoob, Native Ruler, Passing Glance, Pether's Moon, Proconsul, Scorpion, Sun Central, Telescope and Universal.

The TBA National Hunt committee chairman Robert Waley-Cohen said: "We're delighted to have secured 17 stallions for the second National Hunt showcase at Goffs UK. It's particularly pleasing to see that TBA National Hunt initiatives designed to support domestic breeders are beginning to bear fruit, with more high quality stallion prospects like Dartmouth and Jack Hobbs being retained for stud careers in Britain.

"The National Hunt showcase invites breeders, owners, trainers and enthusiasts to take the opportunity to view the wide range of stallions ahead of the covering season. We are, as ever, very thankful to the stallion managers and Goffs UK for their continuing support."

Breeders who attend the showcase also have the opportunity to bid for a stallion nomination in the TBA's silent auction which closes at 3pm on January 24.

The auction includes nominations to Jack Hobbs, Native Ruler, Norse Dancer, Passing Glance, Pether's Moon, Phoenix Reach, Black Sam Bellamy, Cannock Chase, Clovis Du Berlais, Dartmouth, Dunaden, Fair Mix, Recharge, Schiaparelli, Scorpion, Sun Central, Telescope and Universal.
