Dark Angel, currently the fourth leading sire in Europe by prize-money, has been given a sizeable fee increase from €65,000 up to €85,000, after Yeomanstown Stud released 2018 nomination fees for its four-strong roster at Morristown Lattin Farm.

"Dark Angel has had another sensational year at stud," said Gay O'Callaghan of Yeomanstown. "Proving himself once again as an established Group 1 producer siring three individual Group 1 winners this year alone.

"Battaash, winner of the Prix de l'Abbaye, and Harry Angel, who completed the July Cup-Haydock Sprint Cup double, showcased their scintillating speed this season while Persuasive, winner of the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, was the epitome of toughness and durability.

"Adding to this is a total of 24 stakes wins in 2017 and a stellar year in the sales ring."

Precocity and speed

"El Kabeir, a son of Scat Daddy is a really exciting prospect, hailing from a deep female family," said O'Callaghan about Yeomanstown's new recruit, who will stand next year at a fee of €8,000.

"He's a wonderful looking individual and a high-class performer being a multiple Graded stakes winner at two and three from five furlongs to a mile and sixteenth. He will give European breeders the opportunity to avail of precocious and speedy bloodlines."

Gutaifan and Camacho complete the roster and will enter 2018 at unchanged fees of €10,000 and €7,500 respectively.

"Gutaifan, the record-breaking dual Group 2 winner and son of Dark Angel, will have his first crop of yearlings selling in 2018 and we have been delighted with the feedback from breeders on the excellent quality of his stock who share his attributes of strength and class," continued O'Callaghan.

"Camacho continues to rise in popularity among breeders as a top-class source of speed. With over 24 two-year-old winners in 2017 and remarkable results in the sales ring, his progeny are highly desired by trainers and breeders alike."
