Cheveley Park Stud's new recruit Ulysses to stand at £30,000
The dual Group 1 winner is by Galileo and out of the Oaks winner Light Shift
Cheveley Park Stud has released the covering fees for its 2018 stallion roster, with exciting new recruit Ulysses, a dual Group 1 winner by Galileo out of the Oaks winner Light Shift, introduced at £30,000.
"I feel our stallion roster for 2018 is very exciting, especially with the pending arrival of Ulysses and the return of Intello further enhancing the commitment Mr and Mrs David Thompson have to the breeding industry," said the stud's managing director Chris Richardson. "We trust breeders will embrace the great value and opportunities represented by the stallions standing at Cheveley Park Stud in 2018."
The influential Pivotal, sire of 26 top-level winners, remains the most expensive stallion on the roster, with the son of Polar Falcon spending a second consecutive year at £40,000.
Other Cheveley Park residents whose fee remains the same in 2018 are: Garswood, with the Group 1-winning son of Dutch Art - whose yearlings fetched up to 140,000gns - available at £4,000 in the year his first crop hit the racecourse; July Cup hero Mayson (£6,000) and dual Group 1-winning sprinter Twilight Son (£10,000).
Intello, who returns to Cheveley Park after two years at Haras du Quesnay in France, will stand for £20,000.
