Blueblooded Deauville winner for Juddmonte looks one to follow
At Your Pleasure is by a top sire out of a multiple Grade 1 heroine
A beautifully bred filly who won the 7½f fillies' two-year-old maiden at Deauville on debut on Wednesday could be an exciting three-year-old prospect and will be a valuable addition to her owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah's broodmare band when she eventually retires.
At Your Pleasure - trained by Andre Fabre and ridden by Mickael Barzalona - prevailed by a short head in the Polytrack heat from the Harbour Watch filly Money Sister, who had finished placed on her three previous starts.
Claiborne Farm resident War Front is the sire of 67 stakes winners and has proved particularly effective in Europe, where his son and daughter US Navy Flag and Roly Poly - siblings out of Misty For Me - won five Group 1 races between them in 2017.
Ventura started her career with Amanda Perrett in Britain, where she won the Listed Hyde Stakes at Kempton. Later transferred to be trained by Bobby Frankel in the US, she developed into a brilliant performer, delivering Grade 1 victories in the Just A Game Stakes, Santa Monica Handicap, Woodbine Mile and Matriarch Stakes.
Ventura also finished second in a further four top-level races and scored a wide-margin win in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mares Sprint before it was awarded Graded status.
At Your Pleasure is the second winner for her dam, after the four-year-old Medaglia D'Oro colt Costa Mesa.
Ventura also has a yearling filly by Frankel and a filly foal by Dansili.
The mare is out of the Listed-placed Be My Guest mare Estala, who is a granddaughter of Irish 1,000 Guineas and Champion Stakes winner Cairn Rouge.
