Bande, a Grade 1-producing stallion, and future stallion prospect Borna are the latest additions for Aktem’s Online Stallion Sale.

By Authorized, Bande is a half-brother to Group 1 winner and successful sire Doctor Dino and began his stallion career in Japan in 2017 before moving to Haras de la Haie Neuve in France three years later.

A Listed winner and Group 1-placed in Japan, Bande has already made his mark as a sire, notably through With Nolimit, winner of the Champion Bumper at Punchestown, and Lucky Nonantais, successful in the Prix Christian de L’Hermite Grand Steeple-Chase at Auteuil and runner-up in a Group 3.

Borna, meanwhile, offers breeders the opportunity to acquire a potential future stallion prospect.

The son of Saxon Warrior won the Group 2 Derby Italiano at three and was runner-up in the Group 1 Deutsches Derby before adding the Group 3 Premio Ambrosiano to his record at four.

Borna is from a family that includes Group 2 winner Top Trip and three-time Group 3 winner Believe In Love.

Both horses bring different credentials to the sale, with Bande offering proven sire potential and Borna an attractive option for breeders looking towards the next generation.

The pair will be offered alongside four stallions already announced for the auction – Golden Horde, Taj Mahal, Van Beethoven and Dave. Also up for grabs will be shares in Armor, Goken, Jigme, Puchkine and Sealiway, as well as a breeding right to Irish Derby winner Latrobe.

The Online Stallion Sale takes place on aktem.fr on September 25, with the catalogue available online and registration to bid already open.
