Trade looks set to reach fever pitch during the third and final session of Part One of the Goffs November Foal Sale on Wednesday. We pick out three lots who look likely to play a starring role.

Lot 615

B c Kingman - Archangel Gabriel (Arch)
Consigned by Abbeville Stud

Sire sensation Kingman has two lots set to come under the hammer at Goffs, including this regally bred colt out of a sibling to the National Stakes hero Kingsfort and the Grade 1-winning Prince Arch. The dam is also a full-sister to the dam of Group 3 Desmond Stakes scorer Pincheck.

Kingman has already sired 17 stakes winners, including the Group 1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains hero Persian King and the Group 2 scorers Calyx and Headman, while this colt shares his damsire, Arch, with the likes of Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner and world-class sire Uncle Mo.

Abbeville Stud's Eimear Mulhern said: "He's a lovely colt, a really nice scopey foal with a good walk who vets very well. There's been a lot of interest in him and he's shown a superb temperament, he's taken the sale like an absolute professional.

"We're optimistic as he seems to have all the right people interested in him. He's been sent here from England as he was bred by Chris Humber and Steven Smith of Hunscote Stud. They took the view that they'd like to support Goffs with a really nice foal and I hope their confidence in the sale will be rewarded. It's lovely for Goffs to have a horse like him in the sale and it's a great honour for our stud to be consigning him."

Lot 661

Ch f Galileo Gold - Flare Of Firelight (Birdstone)
Ringfort Stud

First-crop sire Galileo Gold has an eyecatching representative in the half-sister to Threat, who landed this year's Gimcrack Stakes and Champagne Stakes for Richard Hannon and Cheveley Park Stud.

The dam, who is carrying a full-sibling to Threat, is a half-sister to the Listed-winning That Which Is Not and out of the Tattersalls Gold Cup scorer Shiva, who in turn is a half-sister to the Oaks heroine Light Shift. Plenty of further pedigree updates could be in the offing as Tymora, another half-sister to Flare Of Firelight, is in foal to Kingman and delivered a colt by Frankel earlier this year.

Ringfort Stud's Derek Veitch said: "She's been a very easy filly to work with and she's got lots of updates in the pedigree, which have been bringing people to her door. She's a nice filly and has huge potential as a broodmare.

"There's lots of things happening in the pedigree and I think a lot of end users have been looking at her with the view to her being a racing and broodmare prospect."

Lot 745

Ch c Dubawi - Nightime (Galileo)
The Castlebridge Consignment

Pedigrees don't come much stronger than the one possessed by this Dubawi colt bred by Dermot Weld's Springbank Way Stud, as he is a full-brother to Ghaiyyath, who landed the Group 1 Grosser Preis von Baden by no less than 14 lengths earlier this year. Ghaiyyath is also a graduate of the Goffs November Foal Sale, having topped the 2015 edition when knocked down to John Ferguson at €1.1 million.

The March-born colt is out of Nightime, who became Galileo's first Group 1 scorer when she won the Irish 1,000 Guineas, which means this foal is a half-brother to four other winners, including the Grade 1-winning Zhukova. The Dubawi over Galileo cross is responsible for talents such as Night Of Thunder and Dartmouth.

The Castlebridge Consignment's Bill Dwan said: "He's a lovely horse. I know the family well as we've sold most of the progeny of Nightime and I had a connection with Zhukova through a client of mine. I think this colt is probably the best of the Dubawis the mare has had; he's as good - if not better - than Ghaiyyath.

"He's got all the right physical attributes - he's a big, strong horse - and he's very good mentally too. He's been very easy to deal with and has taken it all in his stride up here at the sales."
