Following on from Ascot racecourse and Qipco's Follow The Foals series, which showcased six of Qatar Racing's youngsters from foals to two-year-olds, racing fans will have the opportunity to name the juveniles as they head into training for the next stage of their careers.

Among the six horses are a Frankel colt out of St Leger and British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes heroine Simple Verse, and a Deep Impact filly out of Cheveley Park victress Lightening Pearl.

To enter the competition, you have to follow Qatar Racing on social media and reply to any of the #FollowTheFoals posts with your name suggestions.

The names, which must be clean and no longer than 18 characters, will be selected by Qatar Racing's founder, Sheikh Fahad, and David Redvers, Qatar Racing’s racing manager and owner of Tweenhills.

Redvers said: "All six were born at Tweenhills and it's been a pleasure to watch them grow and progress at the stud. They now take the next big step in their racing careers and head into training with their respective trainers.

“They're all beautifully bred and have the potential to hopefully become something quite special. Sheikh Fahad takes great pride in all of his horses but there is always an added satisfaction from the success of a homebred.

“Their names should reflect the Qatar Racing legacy and high quality pedigrees. We look forward to going through the entries. Fingers crossed - you could be naming a future Royal Ascot winner.”

The competition, which opened on Monday, will close at midnight on Sunday and the winners will be announced on Sunday, February 21.
