This year's Cheltenham Festival entries pay high tribute to the ability of owner-breeders Richard and Lizzie Kelvin-Hughes and their advisers to select the right broodmares.

Two sets of half-siblings bred by the Kelvin-Hughes' could run at the meeting – leading RSA Insurance Novices' Chase contender Santini and Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle hopeful Rockpoint; and the useful hurdlers Lisp and Thomas Campbell, who each hold multiple entries.

Santini (by Milan) and Rockpoint (by Shirocco) are out of Tinagoodnight, a French import by Sleeping Car who showed abundant promise when she won easily at Kempton on her British debut but was retired after showing significant truculence when she refused to race on her next start.

Tinagoodnight has redeemed her reputation at paddocks, as she has produced Graded winners Santini and Rockpoint along with Dusky Legend – who finished second in the Dawn Run Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham when it was sponsored by the Kelvin-Hughes' – from her first three runners.

Lisp (by Poet's Voice) and Thomas Campbell (by Yeats), meanwhile, are out of the five-time winner and Listed-placed hurdler Hora, a Hernando half-sister to the high-class Flat performers Craigsteel and Invermark. The dam is four winners from four runners, her other offspring including another useful hurdler in Coeur De Lion.

Both Hora and Tinagoodnight went under the hammer when the Kelvin-Hughes' dispersed their stock at Doncaster last year.

Hora was sold for £95,000 and is now owned by James and Jean Potter, but it appears the Kelvin-Hughes' couldn't bear to bid farewell to Tinagoodnight as despite her being knocked down for £32,000 they are registered as the breeders of her Pour Moi filly foal born last May.
