Smart pair Think Big and War Diary added to Goffs Champions Sale
John Murphy-trained pair join three other useful performers in catalogue
Think Big, a smart two-year-old by Night Of Thunder, and War Diary, winner of the Ragusa Handicap at the Curragh in June, have been added to the line-up for Saturday’s Goffs Champions Sale, which takes place before racing in the winner's enclosure at Leopardstown.
Think Big scored at Down Royal in June and finished a close fourth in the Listed Roses Stakes at York last month, while the four-year-old War Diary has won two of his five starts and never finished out of the first four.
Both horses are trained by John Murphy.
The two late entries take the number of lots set to be offered during the opening event at Irish Champions Weekend to five.
The others are the two-year-old Siyouni colt Zarzyni, fourth in the Round Tower Stakes last time out; Waitingfortheday, who defeated Skitter Scatter to take the Fairy Bridge Stakes on her last run; and Gustavus Weston, who scored in the Phoenix Stakes last month.
A limited number of wild card lots may be announced prior to the weekend, according to Goffs.
