Buyers at this week's Osarus Yearling Sale, which takes place at Le Bequet racecourse in La Teste-de-Buch on Tuesday and Wednesday, have plenty of recent reminders of the talent to be found at the two-day auction.

Grade 1 heroine Fatale Bere was bought by trainer Joel Boisnard for €14,000 from Haras de la Haie Neuve in 2016, and he sent the daughter of Pedro The Great out to win a juvenile conditions race at Le Lion-d'Angers and to finish third in the Listed Criterium de l'Ouest at Craon.

Fatale Bere was subsequently shipped across the Atlantic to the stables of Leonard Powell, for whom she progressed to win three stakes races culminating in success in last year's Del Mar Oaks, before she was snapped up by Shadai Farm for $700,000 from Elite Sales at Keeneland in January.

Haie Neuve will be hoping to cash in on the success of Fatale Bere when offering a Thewayyouare half-brother to their former graduate as lot 228. Already named Irus Des Sources, the March-born colt also shares his dam Mofa Bere with Divin Bere, whose chased Defi Du Seuil home in second in a Grade 1 juvenile hurdle at the 2017 Aintree festival.

The Wootton Bassett colt Helter Skelter, bought by Jean-Claude Rouget for €30,000 from Fairway Consignment last year, also recently shone a light on the sale when winning a Deauville Listed race by an impressive three and a half lengths in mid-August, earning him a possible start in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere on Arc weekend.

Wootton Bassett is well represented again this year with The Channel Consignment sending a colt out of the Listed-placed Kortoba into the ring as lot 185, while Haras de Bourgeauville will follow suit by offering with a filly out of the Listed-placed Now Again as lot 241.

Haras de Montaigu could also have plenty of buyers calling round to their stables with a Myboycharlie half-brother to Group 2 Sapphire Stakes winner Soffia catching the eye among their eight-strong draft as lot 270.

The same vendor also offers a Literato filly named Ok My Love as lot 110, with her two-year-old Anodin half-sister Night Of Love having topped this year's Osarus Breeze-Up Sale when hammered down to Christophe Ferland for €90,000.

That trade completed a fine pinhook for Haras du Saubouas, who acquired Night Of Love for €17,000 as a yearling at Arqana.
