Tattersalls Ascot hosts its first auction of 2019 on Thursday, with the March Sale kicking off at 10.30am.

A total of 196 mixed lots have been catalogued, including 52 wildcard entries. Last year's edition of the March Sale was topped by the winning point-to-pointer Treasure Dillon, who went the way of Evan Williams for £70,000.

Horses with recent form between the flags are also well represented on Thursday, including Steal The Thunder (lot 113), the first four-year-old point winner by Mount Nelson who landed the same Tyrella maiden won by Birchdale 12 months earlier; Coole Lion (110), a five-year-old son of Presenting who scored second time out at Kildorrery; and Sonru (119), a son of Jeremy who ran out a wide-margin winner of a Turtulla maiden earlier in the month.
