Planteur is being relocated to Haras du Grand Courgeon in Le Lion d'Angers after five years on the Al Shaqab stalion roster at Haras de Bouquetot in Normandy.

The son of Danehill Dancer has been represented by his first three-year-olds this season and his best performers are the Italian Listed winner Domagnano, Prix d'Arenberg third Over Reacted and Listed-placed Golconda, Marinka and Fly D'Aspe.

The 11-year-old, who beat Sarafina and Cirrus Des Aigles to take the Prix Ganay in his racecourse pomp, has commanded a fee of €4,000 for the past two seasons.

He joins the dual-purpose stallions Joshua Tree and Very Nice Name at Grand Courgeon, which is owned and managed by Alban de Mieulle.

Planteur has received several boosts to his pedigree this year.

Alpha Centauri, a daughter of another Danehill Dancer stallion in Mastercraftsman, established herself as the best three-year-old in Europe, while Planteur's half-sister Pretty Please is the dam of one of France's most exciting two-year-olds, Persian King, a Kingman colt who has won his last two starts by an aggregate 11 lengths.
