Karl Burke will send out his first runner for Phoenix Thoroughbreds when million dollar filly Mistress Of Love makes her debut in the 7f British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes at Ayr () on Monday.

The daughter of Scat Daddy was purchased by agent Kerri Radcliffe at last year’s Keeneland September Yearling Sale on behalf of Amer Abdulaziz’s operation. Consigned by Gainesway Farm who bred the filly in partnership, Mistress Of Love is a half-sister to Opportunity Cost, a four-year-old colt by champion US sire Tapit who has won at around a mile on turf and dirt.

Mistress Of Love is the second foal out of Ghostzapper mare Beloveda, meaning the two-year-old filly is bred on the same cross as this year’s Triple Crown hero Justify. Her yearling colt by Tapit was purchased by John Oxley for $500,000 from Gainesway at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga August Yearling Sale on Tuesday.

Beloveda won 13 of her 29 runs in North America at three and four with her best placing second in the Grade 3 Rampart Stakes. She is a three-parts sister to Golden Mystery, a daughter of Ghostzapper’s sire Awesome Again, who was successful in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes. Their unraced half-sister All Saint’s Day, by the Forty Niner stallion Gold Case, is establishing a strong record as a broodmare with five winners from six runners so far.

Their dam Mysterious Angel is a half-sister to Voyagers Quest, who won the Group 3 Prix Saint-Roman in France at two and the Group 3 Thresher Classic Trial at Sandown at three, and to the Listed-winning juvenile One By The Knows.

Mistress Of Love is one of three fillies making their debut in the 7f fillies’ novice stakes, along with Katiejay, a daughter of War Command trained by Kevin Ryan, and Royal Countess, a daughter of first-season sire Coach House trained by Lucy Normile.

Mistress Of Love holds an entry in the Group 2 Debutante Stakes at the Curragh later this month.

Progeny of Animal Kingdom, who won the Kentucky Derby and Dubai World Cup, are in sizzling form of late, with six winners since the beginning of August, and he has two-year-old filly French Twist to represent him at Wolverhampton on Monday.

Bred by Godolphin, French Twist is trained by Mark Johnston and will run in the colours of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. She is the first foal out of Braided, a daughter of Elusive Quality who was placed over five and six furlongs in the US.

It is a Sheikh Mohammed family through and through with Braided a half-sister to UAE 1,000 Guineas and Oaks winner Folk, by Quiet American, and Danuta, a winning daughter of Sunday Silence responsible for UAE Oaks winner Devotee. Their dam Polish Style, a daughter of Danzig, was trained by Andre Fabre to win a 6f Listed contest for Sheikh Mohammed and she is out of highly rated juvenile filly Family Style.

French Twist comes up against a couple of daughters of Dark Angel who already have racecourse experience. Penarth Pier, bred by Athassel House Stud, is out of Waveband a full-sister to leading first season sire Bungle Inthejungle, who has made a flying start to his stallion career at Rathasker Stud. Their half-brother by Oasis Dream – Muarrab – won the 2016 Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen at Meydan in 2016. Trained by Richard Hannon, Penarth Pier represents Jared Sullivan and Merriebelle Irish Farm.

Her paternal half-sister Out Of Angels was bred by Yeomanstown Stud, where Dark Angel stands, and was purchased from the O’Callaghan family’s operation by the Cool Silk Partnership for 180,000gns at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale. She is a full-sister to Dark Liberty who won the Listed Grosser Soldier Hollow Preis last season at Hannover. Their dam Extricate is an Exceed And Excel half-sister to Norwegian Group 3 winner Entangle and they are out of Entwine, a winning half-sister to joint champion juvenile filly Soar.
