The 75-acre Millgrove Stud in Bracknagh, County Kildare, is being sold at public auction at 3pm on Thursday, July 19, at the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge.

The estate is described by agents Coonan Property as “a delightful residential stud farm in superb condition situated in a quiet rural setting on the river Figile, a tributary of the Barrow”.

The 18th century residence comprises three reception rooms, five en-suite bedrooms and two staff bedrooms.

The yard has 42 boxes and ancillary facilities including those for handling cattle.

Millgrove Stud was formerly the base of Robert and Amber Byrne's Platinum Bloodstock operation.

It also once served as the base of leading young trainer Michael O'Callaghan, who bred this year's Grade 1 Shoemaker Mile winner Hunt there.

Viewing of the property is by prior appointment with the estate agents.
