The Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM) Irish Stallion Trail makes a hugely welcome return as a physical event on Friday and Saturday.

A two-day national showcase for the Irish thoroughbred breeding industry, the Trail is open to bloodstock industry professionals and breeders this year due to the ongoing pandemic, though that is still a much brighter scene than in 2021, when it went virtual.

Around 30 stud farms will open their doors, including Ballylinch, Boardsmill, Coolmore, Derrinstown, the Irish National Stud and Kildangan, though more studs are included in our digital stallion showcase, which takes you behind the scenes with a galaxy of videos, where you can see your favourite stallions at work and play.

Up to around 140 will be on view to breeders and the industry on Friday and Saturday, when social media users will be able to follow the action on the Racing Post Bloodstock Twitter and Instagram accounts, while our online showcase supplement can be viewed here.

As well as biographies on Ireland's plethora of stud farms, there are 2022 stallion details, a Jury featuring Simon Kerins, Andrew Nolan, Michael Donohoe and Barry Lynch, and a welcome from ITM's chief executive Charles O'Neill.
