Galileo broke yet another long-standing record at Epsom on Saturday, it has emerged.

With Love's victory in the Oaks and Serpentine's success in the Derby, the peerless sire has now supplied the winners of 19 English Classics.

Breeding experts Tony Morris and Bryan Mayoh have confirmed that beats the record of 17 set by Stockwell (born 1849) and later equalled by St Simon (1881).

Galileo had already made history with Serpentine becoming an unprecedented fifth Derby winner for a sire, surpassing the previous best of four first set by Sir Peter Teazle (1784) and matched by Waxy (1790), Cyllene (1895), Blandford (1919) and Montjeu (1996).

Last month he also beat Danehill's record for number of individual Group/Grade 1 winners sired, when Peaceful became his 85th in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

Serpentine extended that record to 86 in the Derby.
