Goffs has lined up a galaxy of stars for its flagship Orby Sale, which will take place at Kildare Paddocks on October 1 and 2, with three siblings of recent Classic winners among the most eye-catching offerings.

Last year's Orby Sale was topped by the Galileo sister to Oaks heroine Forever Together, who stunned the packed sales ring when bought by Phoenix Thoroughbreds for €3.2 million.

There could well be a case of deja vu this year, with Ballylinch Stud due to consign that pair's full-sister (lot 262), who is also a sibling to the Group 1 winners Together Forever and Lord Shanakill.

Sovereign caused an almighty upset when he ran right away with this year's Irish Derby, but it will be much less surprising were his full-sister (213) to prove in high demand at the Orby Sale when she is offered by her breeder Barronstown Stud.

That pair are among nine lots by Galileo in the Orby Sale catalogue, a list that also includes a sister to Alice Springs (whose two-year-old sister realised €2m at last year's sale) offered by Glenvale Stud (127); a colt out of the Ribblesdale Stakes winner Banimpire, offered by The Castlebridge Consignment (155); and a filly out of a daughter of Banks Hill (460).

Phoenix Of Spain is another who landed a colts' Classic at the Curragh this season having stormed to success in the Irish 2,000 Guineas. Tally Ho Stud are due to consign an Awtaad half-brother to the dashing grey (345).

There are a plethora of other lots whose pedigree entitles them to develop into genuine stars, such as the Frankel three-parts sister to Broome (55); a Kingman three-parts sister to the mighty Moonlight Cloud (81); a Dark Angel sister to top-class sprinter Harry Angel (156); a Dubawi half-brother to Persuasive (188); Skitter Scatter's closely related half-brother by No Nay Never (205); Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Jet Setting's first foal, a colt by Le Havre (301); and a Kodiac half-brother to Elusive Wave (388).

On the release of the 472-lot catalogue, Goffs group chief executive Henry Beeby said: "We have catalogued a world-class selection of yearlings thanks to our vendors, who have entrusted us with many of their best colts and fillies.

"Last year's Orby was a record sale for Goffs headlined by the two highest-priced yearling fillies in the world, and that the breeders of both of those fillies have sent the own-sisters back to the Orby this year is a wonderful compliment to the sale.

"They are joined by a multitude of Group 1 pedigrees to make up a catalogue that we believe has taken a further step forward in terms of quality and depth. We look forward to promoting the catalogue to the world over the coming months and to welcoming buyers old and new to Goffs in October."
