Fireworks expected on Night of the Stars to cap off Breeders' Cup weekend
Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 240 lots for its November Sale, at which Songbird sold for $9.5 million in 2017. The mixed session, held in Lexington, Kentucky, will start at 3pm on Sunday November 4 - Breeders' Cup weekend.
Highlights include Royal Ascot winner Con Te Partiro, a daughter of Scat Daddy, Bobby Flay's Grade 3 winner Cover Song and Grade 1 heroine Daddys Lil Darling. Also on offer are three mares in foal to first-season sire and champion Arrogate – Delicate Lady, Last Kitten and Maggie McGowan.
“Our November Sale is known for quality, and this year’s catalogue is one of the deepest and most internationally diverse that we have offered,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “Buyers will find tremendous quality from cover to cover.”
“The sale will begin with 116 selected weanlings – which is our largest and strongest group of foals in recent memory – and then transition into a spectacular group of champions, international racing stars and high-class broodmares,” Browning continued.
“In total, this year’s catalogue features 69 Graded stakes winners or producers, 32 of which are Grade 1 [winners]. We look forward to showcasing an exciting catalogue to the world the evening after the Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs.”
The sale will also offer a supplementary catalogue.
