Invincible Army will stand at Yeomanstown Stud in County Kildare from next year after a deal was reached between the operation and the Group 2-winning sprinter's owner Saeed Manana.

The son of Invincible Spirit was sent out by James Tate to win a Newmarket novice stakes by five lengths on his second start and went on to take the Sirenia Stakes and finish second in the Molecomb, Gimcrack and Mill Reef Stakes at two.

He beat subsequent Commonwealth Cup hero Eqtidaar to win the Pavilion Stakes on his three-year-old debut and was a nose second to Sands Of Mali in the Sandy Lane Stakes on his next start that season.

This year at four he won the Cammidge Trophy, Duke of York Stakes and Chipchase Stakes and was third in the Flying Five. On his final start he ran fourth in the Prix de l'Abbaye last month.

Tate paid tribute to his retired stable star, saying: “Invincible Army was a horse of a lifetime to train. With his remarkable consistency and soundness he gave us many memorable days on the track and in the winner's enclosure and I look forward to training his progeny in the years to come.”

Invincible Army also has an attractive pedigree for breeders, as sire Invincible Spirit has already supplied several successful stallion sons – notably I Am Invincible and Kingman – and dam Rajeem, a daughter of Diktat, was a Group 1 winner in the Falmouth Stakes.

He is bred on the same cross as promising first-season sire Cable Bay and hails from the family of this year's Fred Darling Stakes winner Dandhu as well as Prix Morny heroine Hoh Magic.

Yeomanstown Stud's Gay O'Callaghan said: “We're delighted to have the opportunity to stand Invincible Army. He's an exceptional looking colt who has shown his tough, honest and consistent attitude throughout his career.

“He's a welcome addition to our roster and think breeders will be keen to support him.”

Invincible Army will stand alongside Dark Angel, Camacho, Gutaifan and El Kabeir at Yeomanstown Stud with fees for the roster to be announced in the coming weeks.
