Stakes-winning two-year-olds Helter Skelter and Les Hogues feature among the catalogue for the Arqana Arc Sale held at Longchamp on Saturday, October 5, the eve of Enable aiming to win the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe for the third time.

Helter Skelter, trained by Jean-Claude Rouget for Serge Stempniak, has won two of his four starts including the Listed Criterium du Fonds Europeen de l'Elevage at Deauville by three and a half lengths last time out.

The son of Wootton Bassett is entered in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere on Arc day.

Stablemate Les Hogues, who carries the colours of Gerard Augustin-Normand, is also two wins from four starts. She took the Listed Criterium du Bequet at La Teste de Buch in July and was fourth in the Group 3 Prix La Rochette last month.

The Bated Breath filly holds an entry in the Prix Marcel Boussac.

Another Rouget-trained juvenile entered in the sale is Sujet Libre, a son of Hurricane Cat who has won two races and was third in the Prix La Rochette.

Among the three-year-olds on offer are Group 3 Prix de Guiche winner Flop Shot (by New Approach) and Prix Penelope scorer Cartiem (by Cape Cross), third in the Prix de la Nonette on her last run.

Older horses entered include Group 3-winning sprinter Sestilio Jet (by French Fifteen) and Prix d'Hedouville winner Petit Fils (by Makfi).

In total, the catalogue contains 42 horses in training, of which 32 have won or been placed in black-type races.

Nine wildcard entries, reserved for horses with strong form compiled in the run-up to the sale, will be announced in due course.

Last year's Arqana Arc Sale featured the €390,000 sale of promising two-year-old filly Lily's Candle to Oceanic Bloodstock on behalf of Martin Schwartz.

The next day the daughter of Style Vendome won the Prix Marcel Boussac and two months later she was sold to Narvick International on behalf of Katsumi Yoshida for €1.1 million at the Arqana December Sale.
