Best Solution moves to Gestut Lunzen for 2022 season
Caulfield Cup and dual German Group 1 winner Best Solution will stand at Gestut Lunzen in Lower Saxony for the coming breeding season.
According to a press release from his ownership syndicate received by German media operator Galopponline, the decision was made owing to "personnel changes" at Gestut Auenquelle, his home since he retired in 2019.
Major German studs Gestut Brummerhof, Ittlingen and Rottgen were involved in securing Best Solution from Godolphin, the well-travelled seven-year-old by Kodiac, and he has been well received by breeders.
Best Solution has already moved to Lunzen to be looked after by experienced handler Tommy Witt.
"After intensive considerations with the main shareholders, the conclusion was reached that it is beneficial for the well-being of the stallion and a smooth course of the coming breeding season if he continues to live at Gestut Lunzen," said the statement.
"We hope that all breeders are just as satisfied with this new solution as we are, because the goal is that the stallion continues to produce foals of the same quality as you could see last year. You only get positive feedback from all studs and all breeders who have Best Solution foals.
"The three larger shareholders, Gestut Rottgen, Gestut Ittlingen and Gestut Brummerhof, will support Best Solution with several mares next year. Gestut Auenquelle will continue to send him mares because they are very satisfied with the foals."
Best Solution continues to stand at a fee of €6,500.
