A one-50th share in European champion Almanzor, whose first crop will race next season, took top honours at an Arqana Online sale on Wednesday when bought by Elwick Stud for €310,000.

Six rights or shares in impressive stallions were offered during this online-only event held through Wednesday afternoon. Arqana has conducted similar events in the past and has also offered a handful of shares in Haras de Bonneval stallion Siyouni, which have risen as his career flourished.

Two years ago, one was bought on behalf of Haras Voltaire for €960,000 but a share in the same stallion failed to sell on Wednesday with bidding reaching €850,000.

Stephen Hillen registered the successful €175,000 bid for the same sized share in Montfort et Preaux's consistent Le Havre.

A breeding right to Tally Ho's Mehmas, whose first crop headed by Middle Park winner Supremacy have made such an impression, went to Haras du Mont-dit-Mont for €200,000.

A breeding right in Showcasing, recently announced as being priced at £45,000 by Whitsbury Manor Stud for next season, was claimed by Laurent Benoit's Broadhurst Agency for €130,000 while a one-50th share in Haras de Montaigu's No Risk At All, sire of Champion Hurdler Epatante, was chalked up to Racing D for €60,000.
