Black Caviar serves up More Than Ready filly
Wondermare's first foal Oscietra broke her maiden in August
Black Caviar, whose remarkable 25-race unbeaten run included a successful raid on the 2012 Diamond Jubilee Stakes, has delivered her fourth foal, a filly by leading shuttle sire More Than Ready.
Her first foal, the three-year-old Exceed And Excel filly Oscietra, was successful on her second start in a sprint maiden at Geelong in August, and holds a handicap entry at Flemington on Wednesday.
Black Caviar also has a two-year-old Sebring colt named Prince Of Caviar, in training with Team Hawkes; and a yearling Snitzel filly.
The 11-year-old daughter of Bel Esprit is not the only notable progenitor out of the mare Helsinge, as her half-brother All Too Hard – who stands alongside More Than Ready at Vinery Stud – was second in the first-season sires' table by earnings in Australia last year.
Black Caviar's win streak is in danger of being matched by Winx, the latest mare to capture the imagination of the Australian racing public, after she recorded her 20th consecutive win in the George Main Stakes last weekend – her 13th at the highest level.
